June 1st kicks off Pride Month, a commemorative month that seeks to recognize the impact of LGBT individuals, advocates and allies. We had the pleasure of helping recognize one such individual just last week. Redstone supports Egale Canada and their longstanding pursuit of equality, inclusion, and the overall improvement in the lives of  LGBTQI2S people.
After months of preparation, last week the Redstone Events Team executed the 2018 Identity Conference in support of Egale Canada Human Rights Trust. Spanning over 4-days this conference welcomed 300+ attendees with over 80 speakers from around the globe. Through exciting plenary discussions and engaging workshops, attendees were able to hear from speakers such as Amy White, Deputy Director, Community Relations of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as well as Sara Quinn from the Tegan and Sara Foundation. With a diverse range of topics and discussion, attendees left with a better understanding of LGBTQI2S life in Canada. To further celebrate the advances in LBTQQI2S life in Canada the event concluded with a black-tie gala where the Egale Leadership Award was presented to a very special recipient, The Right Honorable Justin Trudeau. We thank Egale Canada for the opportunity to work on such an impactful event that betters the Canadian Community and look forward to seeing what they have in store for next year!
